SEASON ONE, Episode #2

Sonny is thrilled when she meets the cute young star of Mackenzie Falls, Chad Dylan Cooper, but a terrible rivalry between the two casts forbids friendship between them. Sonny organizes a "Peace Picnic" in order to bury the hatchet between So Random and Mackenzie Falls, but it fails and leaves her cast with embarrassment. Trying to win back the support of her crew, Sonny decides to challenge Mackenzie Falls to something they're good at (Grady suggests musical chairs and Sonny takes him seriously.) Sonny pretends to get hurt so that her team wins.

This is the first episode in which we see Chad Dylan Cooper (played by Sterling Knight). At first, Sonny is excited to meet him, but once she finds out how cocky he is, she changes her mind.

This episode is also the first in which there is a "Channy" moment. What's that? A spark in the love/hate relationship between Sonny & Chad. Chad genuinely seems concerned when Sonny acts as if she's hurt her ankle; even though he's known to not care about anyone but himself, much less someone from So Random. I see a romance blooming!
